The West Bridgford School

We're back in the UK!

17th November 2023, 21:41 (GMT) - Barcelona Trip Day 5

Our final day in Barcelona started with a trip to the Nou Camp to visit the FC Barcelona museum. Though the Nou Camp is no longer looking like a football stadium giving the ongoing works, the museum continues to be interesting. Students learnt about the history of the club, some famous players to have worn their shirt and had the chance to get close to some famous trophies.

After leaving Camp Nou, we crossed the city and headed for the Olympic Port on the sea front. There we treated the students to Churros con Chocolate from Josep, a Catalan who has run the same amazing place for 28 years and last year was given a special title from the Catalan government: Maestro Churrero. Josep was happy to see us again and said that seeing every’s smile as they collected their churros made his day.

After the churros, we walked along the beach towards Barceloneta. With blue sky and warm temperatures, it was a fitting way to end our time in Barcelona. The students were playing on the beach or just sat enjoying each other’s company. We have enjoyed our time in Spain and are now happy to be coming home to see our families.
