All students who have studied a language in year 7 and 8 must study at least one modern foreign language.

If two languages at key Stage 3 have been studied, then students can opt to study both for GCSE if they wish to do so.

Students are only allowed to opt for the language(s) they have previously studied at KS3.

The languages offered in years 10 and 11 are French, German and Spanish.

Students who do not currently study a Modern Foreign Language do not need to take a Language and can select another subject from the Options subjects instead.
