Over the years the school council has been working quietly, and sometimes loudly, in and around school. We thought a presence on the website would be a positive way to showcase the work we have been doing. We have therefore built this page of information t keep students and parents/carers in the loop about our work.

Youth Parliament

The Youth Parliament elections will be taking place from Monday 2nd February to Friday 13th February. Pupils will be able to votes on what is important for them a young people. We have one of our own students participating so we are keen to get involved.

Martyn’s Law

Martyn's Law (Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025) is UK legislation requiring public venues and events to improve security against terrorism. As a team we have talking about how best to implement these new requirements into our school.

Sexual Harassment and Violence Survey

Since the Government and Ofsted launched their work back in June 2021, looking at the impact and prevalence of sexual harassment and violence in school, we have been asking our students about their experiences and sharing the responses and actions of the school.

The Friary

Every year at Christmas time we support The Friary by doing a huge whole school collection of food, clothing and toiletries to help support this amazing charity. Every year we get nearly a full minibus of donations which we load directly into The Friary’s transport
