Wednesday 16th September was Action at 16+ Day which is the start of the careers information process for our Year 11 students.
All students began work on their CV’s which will be used later on in the year during the Mock Interviews that they will go through in December. In addition to the CV session we had a range of outside providers volunteering their time to discuss qualifications, skills, salaries, pathways etc. in a variety of careers.
We had some fantastic providers such as Law, NHS, Finance, Graphic Design, Engi-neering, Teaching, Music and the Army. We also had visitors from local colleges and a session about our 6th Form provision.
The most popular session on the day was the one regarding university life where 8 of our ex-students talked to year 11 about their choices and pathways. The combination of talking to the external providers as well as our ex-students left Year 11 with plenty to think about.
